We have a small laundry room which was basically an empty room when we bought our home. Below you can see what our laundry room looked like before we got to work. I needed to add some shelving in order to organize this room. I also really needed a spot for drying some of our clothes. I considered cabinets but I have loved all the open shelving I have seen on Pinterest and Instagram. I am so glad we went with the shelving because it gave me a chance to add some fun items to our laundry room. Now I feel like our laundry room has a ton of storage and some personality!

I started by painting the laundry room Pure White by Sherwin Williams which really made the room feel larger. I then added this fun wallpaper which I got for an amazing price! I added the wallpaper because it brought so much personality to a plain room. I knew I would not be adding a lot of décor to the room so wanted to find a way to add detail without cluttering the room. My husband then built me these great shelves for under $30. I used the leftover Sherwin Williams Naval Paint from the entryway project on the shelves.

I knew I did not want to spend a lot of money on this makeover so I got this pretty print for $4 on Esty. I then got an affordable frame from Target (similar) and I already had this faux fern and planter from Target (similar). I also found this adorable paw print jar for Link’s treats! Now anytime we pop the top he comes running!

I tried out many different baskets from Target but ended up keeping these baskets. The tan striped soft sided laundry baskets are not only cute but very functional! They no longer have the striped tan but they do have other colors! I now have more then enough storage and have been able to move some items from my kitchen into the laundry room opening up lots of much needed space.

I found this drying rack for such a great price and have used it so often. I do think I am going to order one more for the other side. It can hold a lot but with two kids and the wash machine constantly running I think one more would be perfect!
